Shipping Update

Hey Morganauts - just wanted to give a quick update on shipping.

95% of packages have shipped, and most of these have already delivered. The remaining packages are mainly local drop-offs. Thank you everyone for being patient through the shipping process.

I had previously mentioned to reach out if you have not received your package by October 1. Some packages (especially International backers) may arrive after this date, but feel free to reach out on October 1 if you haven't received your package yet and would like a status update.

There is a slip included in any packages shipped that indicates a survey link to let me know that you have received your package. If you might've missed this link but you've received your package, appreciated if you can let me know at the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8L8WP5N. It's a quick survey.

I'd love to know what you all think of the new book when you get to it! Or if you are new to the series, what you think of the books in general. You can comment here or send me at email at [email protected].

What's Next

I'm happy to say that I have the general outline for Book 4 in my mind so I'll be starting on the script shortly. Rob has already started to work on sketches for some new characters. I don't have much for details yet, but you will all definitely be kept in the loop on what the future of this series holds. In the meantime, I've made a connection with a production company that would like me to submit a pitch package for consideration as a television show, so I'll be getting to that very soon!

Book 3 Sent to Print!

That's right, Morganauts, Book 3 is finally in print! It's been a stressful past two days as I carefully combed every page with Tyler and Rob, looking for any typos, mistakes, and whatever other doubts came into my mind. It got to the point that I was Googling if I spelled the word "actually" correctly (luckily, I was).

What's Next

1. I just sent a notice to all backers who have completed their BackerKit surveys to finalize shipping addresses. If the shipping address you entered is accurate, no action needed. If your shipping address has changed, please update within the next 48 hours.

I am intending to ship packages in mid-August, so if you are concerned your address will change in August or September, please contact me by email at [email protected] so that I can hold onto your package until you have a new, confirmed address.

2. I'll be sending the BackerKit survey to all PDF-only backers shortly. As I previously said, this is a necessary step for being able to send the book PDFs via BackerKit. It is a very simple, one-question survey that you'll need to answer to receive the PDFs (or at least that is what the folks at BackerKit have told me).

3. I'll be sending the book PDFs very shortly via BackerKit! Look out for an email about this.

4. As mentioned, I am aiming to deliver packages in mid-August. I will post an update closer to this date with more concrete timing for backers who are local, in Canada, in the United States, and International.

Toronto Fan Expo

I'm really happy to say that I've been accepted for a booth at Toronto Fan Expo in August. This is Canada's biggest comic convention and is a huge opportunity for me to grow the audience. If you are attending Fan Expo and are interested to pick-up your package in person, please email me at [email protected]. If you've paid for shipping, I'll be happy to provide the equivalent amount in goodies when you pick-up the package.

There's lots of other stuff going on, but I'll save that for a future update! For now, I'm focused on getting PDFs sent and packages prepped!

Hey Morganauts!

Just popping in for a (hopefully) brief update.

Surveys

About 99% of backers receiving print packages have completed their survey (thank you). There are 4 folks to complete their survey still, so if you are receiving a print package and have not completed a survey, please check your email (or contact me so I can re-send you the link).

Within the next 1 to 2 weeks, I will be sending a final notice to all backers receiving print packages to confirm your shipping address. You will have approximately 48 hours to make any changes to your shipping address, after which this information will be final. If you might be moving soon and are concerned with receiving your package correctly, please reach out to me at [email protected]. If you will be picking up your package locally, I will reach out to you with more details.

For backers that are only receiving digital rewards, I will be releasing the survey to you in the next week or so. Even though there is really nothing for these backers to provide for information, you still need to complete a survey via BackerKit for me to easily deliver the PDFs to you. So, look out for the super-quick survey to complete, which will allow me to then send you the PDFs.

Production Timing

Right now, I have EVERYTHING printed and ready to package... except Book 3! We currently have ALL inks complete and only a few pages remaining to colour in the book. I expect to be able to send Book 3 to print... next week! Very exciting! We've been working on the artwork for this book since early 2018 so it's a huge relief to finally be at the finish line. But trust me, it will be worth the wait.

Once we go to production, I will be sending the book PDFs out to backers via BackerKit - so look out for an email with the links to download the digital books.

Early Backer Reward

Some of you might be wondering what the early backer reward is for all backers that supported the campaign within the first 48 hours of launch. As past fans are aware, we include a fun image on the back cover of each book that shows a prominent character in that story, and we also turn this character into a sticker.

So, the early backer reward is indeed an exclusive sticker that will be featured on the back cover of Book 3, this time showing Bran the Brain. Apparently, he's going to be important in this story. Check it out below!
